TempurPedic Mattress Topper
The TempurPedic brand has been around for a long time and know their way around the mattress block. They were founded in 1992, and one could say that they were the company who made memory foam such a popular and well-known material. Buying their TempurPedic mattress topper is a good way to get a sense of their classic, dense memory foam feel, without spending the additional money for an entire TempurPedic bed.
Though, there are many valid reasons to get a mattress topper, some of the most significant being that it can
- Make your mattress softer
- Can change the feel of your mattress
- Extend the lifetime of your mattress
- Add thickness to your mattress
- Keep your mattress cleaner
If you find that your mattress is too thin or not the right firmness level, a topper is a great way to switch it up. Toppers are especially great for guest bedrooms, Airbnb, college dorm mattresses, or even for pregnant women who should be sleeping on their left side once they have a visible bump. In this review, we’ll discuss our thoughts on the TempurPedic foam topper.
To make it quick to get the information you need, below is a list of jump links to take you to any section of this piece:
TempurPedic Topper Materials And Features
The TempurPedic Topper Supreme is made of the same material that their mattresses are made with, making it the next best thing to the real TempurPedic Mattress. Here is a summary of the different features the TempurPedic mattress topper offers.

- Classic TempurPedic Material — A proprietary memory foam called TEMPUR material. It’s made of millions of moveable cells, which are designed to cushion and support your body by evenly distributing your body weight.
- Machine Washable Cover — Because of the cover, it’s easy to give the surface of your topper a deep clean. Just unzip it from the topper, and throw it in your washing machine on a cold water setting, then hang to dry. This is great for anyone who enjoys sipping coffee in bed, but is also a little clumsy (i.e. many of us).
- Size Options — The Topper Supreme is available in all sizes, including twin, twin XL, full, queen, king and Cal king. They do not offer custom sizing.
The Tempur pedic topper doesn’t have any form of attachment—you’re supposed to lay in on top of your mattress and wrap your fitted sheet over both your mattress and your topper. This is a little inconvenient because it means that the topper more easily moves around on your bed. So we do wish it had a method for securing it in place, like straps. Though, we wouldn’t call this a deal breaker.
What The Tempur Pedic Topper Supreme Feels Like

TempurPedic is well known for their super dense memory foam that you can sink deep into as the material contours around your body. When you lay down on this topper, you’ll find yourself slowly sinking into it. Keep in mind, because this is a thick memory foam, it can give you that “stuck” feeling. Some people love this, while others, such as combo sleepers who switch positions through the night, might feel stuck.
Remember that your weight will have an effect on how deep you sink into the TempurPedic mattress topper. Lighter individuals tend to lay more on top of the material while heavier individuals sink down into it more.
Also, this memory foam doesn’t have any cooling technology, so you might warm up if you’re a hot sleeper. If you have either a hybrid mattress with coils or a mattress that has cooling technology, this topper might stifle that a little.

TempurPedic Topper Firmness Level
This Tempur Pedic mattress topper is unique because its firmness level will depend on the mattress you’re putting it on top of. If you put this topper on a soft mattress like Layla, it will be a firm memory foam mattress topper. If you put it on top of a particularly firm mattress like the old Allswell Luxe, it will make your mattress feel softer. But either way, the Topper Supreme will give you a medium to medium-firm memory foam feel.
TempurPedic Topper Price
We’re not going to lie, you might get a little bit of sticker shock when you check out these prices. The TempurPedic mattress topper queen, for example, retails at $399. But considering the price of TempurPedic mattresses, you could argue that you’re saving money. TempurPedic Mattress Topper Review Verdict
To sum up our TempurPedic mattress topper review: We think this mattress topper is great for anyone who wants a memory foam feel, but can’t get their hands on an entire memory foam mattress. If you’ve been yearning to try out TempurPedic memory foam, this is your chance.
We wish that this topper had a form of attachment to the mattress and was a bit easier to unbox, but besides that, we think memory foam lovers will really enjoy this product.

Why Get A Mattress Topper In The First Place?
There are many valid reasons to get a mattress topper, some of the most significant being that it can
- Make your mattress softer
- Can change the feel of your mattress
- Extend the lifetime of your mattress
- Add thickness to your mattress
- Keep your mattress cleaner
The TempurPedic Topper is great because you can somewhat get that classic TempurPedic thick memory foam feel, without going all in on a whole new mattress.
If you find that your mattress is too thin or not the right firmness level, a topper is a great way to switch it up. Toppers are especially great for guest bedrooms, Airbnb, college dorm mattresses, or even for pregnant women who should be sleeping on their left side once they have a visible bump.
Mattress Topper vs Mattress Pad
By the way, we want to make sure to mention that a topper is different from a mattress pad. Mattress pads are usually filled with fluffy material, which adds a barrier and makes your mattress feel a little softer, but doesn’t change the overall feel of the mattress.
The Topper Supreme can change the feel of your mattress. So if you put it on top of a neutral-foam mattress like Leesa, your bed won’t have Leesa’s neutral-foam feel; your bed will have a memory foam feel.
FAQs
We were sent the TEMPUR-Topper Supreme from TempurPedic so that we could review it on our website.
You can use this topper with any mattress, excluding water beds.
They sure do. Besides their wide collection of mattresses and of course their topper, they have pillows, cushions, and even slippers. You can check that out more on their website.
It has a dense/viscous memory foam feel just like the TempurPedic mattresses.
It’s around a “medium” so it’s not too soft or firm.
The TempurPedic TEMPUR Topper is CertiPUR-US certified.
We think this topper works for all sleeper types, but it will give your mattress a medium to medium-firm feel. As such, the only people who might not love it are petite side sleepers who tend to need additional pressure relief.
